Intro to Pool freediving

An introduction to Freediving in the pool, where you’ll master the basics of breath-hold diving in a safe and comfortable environment.

Learn essential mental techniques to prepare for your breath-hold dive, along with physical skills such as efficient finning and no-fins diving. Safety protocols are emphasized throughout the session to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.

      • Open water theory can also be done before departure to the island

Basic Freediver

basic freediver Weekly Learning Programme

This course follows the same topics as the Basic Freediver Course but in a flexible, long-learning format over 8 weeks of 1-hour sessions in the pool and 3-hours at open water.

You’ll gradually master the fundamentals of breath-hold diving through paced weekly pool classes and build your confidence before progressing to the open water experience.

  • These Open Water practice sessions are held at St John’s. Our private yacht will pick us up from Marina at Keppel Bay at 9:00am and we should reach Keppel again at 12:00pm, just in time for lunch!

    Keppel has hot water showers available and is a 5 minute drive / 10 minute walk to Vivocity/Habourfront MRT Station where there are plenty of food options available and transportation home is easy.

    The dive site is about 20-30 minute boat ride from Keppel and the instructors will organise the group, safety each person for their dives and give coaching instructions for improving technique

Adults will explore the science of breath-hold diving, safety, and depth progression, while kids develop confidence in the water through playful breath-hold games, equalization practice, and safe underwater exploration. This course is perfect for families looking to share an adventure and build water confidence together!
